A Wise Old Owl

A wise old owl lived in an oak:
The more he saw, the less he spoke;
The less he spoke, the more he heard:
Why can't we all be like that bird?

My mother, & her brother, often recited this poem way back in the 40's. I never forgot it & am thrilled to see it in print!
