Saying Goodbye
by
George Wentz

My hand gently touches your face
to feel the softness of your cheek,
to stroke the hair above your ear
and behind your neck.
My arms enfold you in my warm embrace
holding you tight against me.
You become one with me,
love flowing between us with each heartbeat.
Your eyes invite me to look deep into your soul,
as your spirit escapes in the quiet breath of your kiss.
