By the tornado

Chosen with improbable precision

Lifted
To another realm,

From his father’s arms-
Now holding God
Family, community

Lifted
Ceiling turns to sky-

& racing wind everywhere
Tree home life

Lifted
The air we breathe

Funnels like twisted sorrow
A woman wears a t-shirt that says life is good
Because she survived, because she is

In faith

I like how at first a man is lifted physically, then at the very end, a woman is lifted spiritually. Good poem!
