Friend Me
by
Mark Lane

The very best thing about facebook,
Is that you know who is a friend to you.
All you have to do is take a look,
And there’s a list that you can view.

Friends are listed alphabetically,
Their photo shows you who they are.
Above is displayed a running tally,
To let you know that you’re a star.

I find it very reassuring,
To know that I have friends.
To know that I’m alluring,
With the messages that I send.

I can tell that my friends are waiting,
For me to make a daily post.
It’s my words they’re anticipating,
Because they like to read mine the most.

So I tell them what I had for dinner,
Or about something witty that I said.
I tell them they’re all winners,
Before I toddle off to bed.

Yes facebook is a savior,
For those who love to gawk.
And it’s helped mankind’s behavior,
Because now we never need to talk.
