So Shall Ye Reap
by
Mark Lane

A garden filled with flowers of guilt,
Make up bouquets that will never wilt.

A landscape of indifference will perpetuate,
Plantings bedecked with blossoms of hate.

There is a hedge of insecurities,
Fertilized with doubt and impurities.

And when sprinkled with constant derision,
You can expect a full harvest of indecision.

Take care to nurture the seeds that you plant.
Demand that they produce the fruit that they can’t.

In time you’ll find the rewards that you’ll reap,
Will be a bounteous harvest of neurosis steep.
