Humility
by
George Wentz

Leaves, stay up in your tree;
Wind, don't blow cold in my face;
Sun, stay awhile longer each day;
Rain, fall softly only when needed.

Road, be easy on me through life;
Music, be kind to my ears;
Wine, age well with character;
Friend, be loyal and forgiving.

For these I would want
If I could have my way.
Alas, I have no control of them --
My hope, at least, is for a friend.
