Redemption of a Fool
by
Larry Lynch

The poet tells the secret
Of a truth that's been disguised
If you listen closely
It will open up your eyes

The words fly from the pages
Like sunbeams from the heart
In the Presence of the moment
Shadows fall apart

Then, the witness in the silence
Views the playground of the mind
Thoughts like children come and go
Nothing's left behind

Can nothing become something
The key to freedom's door
Can anyone cross over
Who's never been before

The secret then is Presence
With desire to know the Real
The heart becomes intelligent
The head begins to feel

Who will claim the victory
Who will know the thrill
Who can say what happened
To the fool upon the hill
