Ripples
by
teddy marvelle

the light was leaving us
and the west was blue
children's laughter rippled
like the stones they threw

upon the water was
a reflection of the sky
stars chased away the day
a tear came to my eye

i watched my tear
fall to the surface
and ripple out like
it had some purpose

they say in the darkest night
there is a light beyond
but there's such a fine line
between the darkness and dawn

twilight now invades us
and still the west is blue
the children's laughter ripples
like stones and teardrops do

it's a blushing brilliance
so awesomely divine
that here upon the water
all the ripples intertwine

naked angel:
this has an ambiance of twilight..of closure, and of newbirth. The ripples from all that we have learned or failed to learn..the love, the pain, the seperation, the experiences that forge us, connect to change the surface of all that we thought we knew. I could see this being pored over by accademics...picked appart, absorbed , and remembered. Until the experience of it becomes a ripple in itself. great potential for greatness
