Christmas Poem
by
Julianne Carlile

I can't seem to think of anything to write
To show my appreciation for Christmas night.

The weather's cold and we've got the wished-for snow.
In fact, the windchill is 20 degrees below.

The trees glisten, just like in all the songs,
And I'm thinking about trying to fix all my wrongs.

I'm enjoying all the parties like I should,
And wishing I could fulfill all wishes...if I only could.

I guess everything is going according to plan.
Now I'll just wait for the visit from that little man!
