Laughing Yoga Time Travelers
by
Mary Goehring

Six, 60 somethings
Hold hands, swing arms
And find their long forgotten 6 year old
Still present
Still ready to play.

They strut like chickens then flap
Long egret wings
Flying today’s fun
Like time machines
Loud with belly bouncing hoots and hollers

And for no reason at all
They return to a time
When running was the only reason
The preferred way to get from here to there
Before grown-ups
Before you were reminded
Slow down you might get hurt.
