Spring
by
Shary Weckwerth

It comes with a blow
But how could we know
It would involve snow
Oh no, oh no.
Then just when we blink
It’s gone in a wink
We don’t need our mink
All pink, all pink
The buds are bursting
The grass is thirsting
It’s not the worst thing
Birds sing,
Spring
