Boylston Street
by
Randy Cadenhead

Boylston Street

The space of three seconds
Display on the clock
Time enough to change the world
Finish line for the race
The final finish for a few
A flash, smoke and shock
And then a second
And with it knowing
Too well once again
We are still not finished
With hate and madness
But not with hope.
