Grief
by
Faith Cataffa

Cry my friend
your heart must cleanse
but each day after
one more tear
replace with laughter and happy reminisce

For memories and worthy deeds
of your loved one who has passed
are the very threads
that close your wound
and heal your hurt at last

So cry my friend
your heart will mend
when you understand
they have no needs and suffer naught
in God's most loving hands

Reed:
Beautiful words of comfort at the same time validating grief is real and a process that needs to be complete for the one who grieves.

I enjoyed your poem. This would be very nice on a sympathy card as well. Well done. Sharon L.H. Kelly
