Haunted
by
Alexcia Reid

Here we go again
Late nights, solitary confinement
Yet the noise , the thought of you
Screaming through my mind

So long we've been apart
But the chains run long
The connection to you-deep still
I want to escape but your hold grips strong

Fairy-tales and wishes and happily ever afters
One foot in reality but my mind
Its a float longing for a fantasy
A place where time can rewind
Where its stands still Before
Before the noise , before the hurt
Before we tore our souls apart

A sinking feeling, a mock heart attack
A stolen heart, still in pieces
Hopelessly waiting
Waiting for a mend

A drop, a tear , a worthless cry
A scream, a wanting
Pain, No point , no reason
No question , just wonder and why

Living and wanting a freedom
From what , from you
This un-wanting, never ending
