Money Money
by
Ruchi Khare

Little or more, it's never suffice
The craving for more never dies
In a maze of thoughts I try to gauge
Will this greed leave anyone chaste?

In the name of religion donation for prayers are asked
To please almighty a little money we are asked to part

A beggar at signal cries in plight
He dreams of money to satiate a hungry night

Hanging in a crowded bus, a man sighs
Hoping for a better job to own a bike

Stretching at work for a bigger hike
There is yearning for a better lifestyle

Minting money like a game
Yet craving for more makes one brace a risky plane

Seeking for perfection, magic to astound
A wish for all pleasures just a little beyond

Is it greed? or just drive?
Will it bring out the best or ugly side?

Wonder how much we really need
But it seems our happiness lies in endless seek!
