The Sister's Scrivani Scroll The Sister's Scrivani Scroll
by
Mary Louise Grimm

Never realized how soul-satisfying
it is to remove old wallpaper!
How zen-like;
onion peeling layer after layer
of old, worn wallpaper;
ugly brown strips of ourselves
reveling rough places
not appealing
but quite revealing!
Two sisters,
talking thru hidden hurts and fears
gathered like layers of old wallpaper;
glued tighter thru the ears.
Wildly spritzing vinegar and water
(the secret ingredients, I was told)
waiting for just he right moment to strip our souls bare
revealing a clean whit wall-soul
bringing a new light;
a new perspective
to share.
