Would Anyone...
by
Tracy Summers

Would anyone miss me if I was gone,
Would you cry, I bet not for long.
Do I matter in anyone's life,
I'm no ones girlfriend, no ones wife.
I'm so sad, lonely and lost,
To be happy, I'd pay any cost.
But things aren't all they seem,
At times I feel it's a just a dream.
I don't know what to do, what to say,
For me there are no sunny days.
My pain is gray, my days are dark,
I wish for something, even a spark.
To light a fire or bring me peace,
One day, on life, maybe a new lease.
Would anyone miss me if I was gone,
You say yes, I say your wrong.

This is a very sad little poem. It read very well and I liked it - but I certainly hope it isn't true. Writing poetry is such a wonderful way to release emotions - putting such thoughts on paper can bring a strange release - so I hope your next one is comfortably happy!
