Deluge
by
Linda Golden

Drop of water splatters soundlessly sending
droplets radiating like so many daisy petals

We spash against each other sometimes
without a sound, other times clamorously

Ask me when I am quiet and cold
when I create such chaos, do I know

When binding cords cuts
do you believe your voice ceases

Let others define, we decline
silencing our purpose

Flood
