Don't Miss Another Spring in Carolina
by
Donal Mahoney

Although it snowed a little Wednesday night
Jane's hyacinths are blooming.
And in the yard she saw this morning

50 robins hopping in the sun.
Some flew in couples into trees
so Jane called her sister, Joan,

who’s working in Alaska
without a trip back home in years
and told her take the next flight

and she’d meet her at the airport.
Come see our robins courting in the sun.
Don’t miss another Spring in Carolina.
