Truth Serum
by
Stephen Bess

Last night
I met my sweet baby at
Jubilee’s Bar and Grill

We sat,
poured one drink,
and she told me that she loved
me still

Time flew past
and It started getting late
as I poured drink
Number Five

She took a sip,
took one look,
and told me
I wasn’t worth a dime
